Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Project Water Resources Engineer or Scientist to work on urban stormwater management, green infrastructure, and hydrologic analyses in multiple North Carolina and surrounding offices. The role involves design, modeling, field work, and client interaction in a hybrid office setting.

Applicants should have a bachelor's in environmental or civil engineering, 7+ years of relevant experience, and PE/registration or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, agricultural, biological, biosystems engineering or natural resources with emphasis on water resources.
• Advanced degree in the same field is preferred.
• Professional registration or ability to obtain within one year (P.E. or similar).

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies.
• Develop innovative green infrastructure solutions for urban environments.
• Apply modeling software from 1-D to 3-D transport models.
• Conduct floodplain mapping and design flood protection.
• Execute in-stream and urban stormwater quality monitoring and modeling.
• Provide field investigations and construction support services.
• Prepare construction documents and technical specifications.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate client interactions.
