Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or-equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of work-related experience in site/civil design preferred or internship experience.
• EIT Certification or current FE exam registration preferred.
• Prior internship or professional experience in site/civil design including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgement capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics and topographical data for project planning and design.
• Recommend new approaches to improve efficiency and services.
• Apply engineering and advanced mathematics knowledge.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
