Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineer I to join our Leesburg, VA team. The role focuses on evaluating and applying standard engineering techniques for moderately complex projects, coordinating with senior engineers, clients, and design teams to deliver robust civil designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required at time of employment.
• EIT preferred.
• Entry level position; land/site development experience a plus.
• Experience with civil design software such as Civil3D in professional or academic settings.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design approaches for assigned phases of large land/site development.
• Complete civil engineering work for assigned phases of development.
• Assist with plans, specifications, and reports development.
• Produce designs and calculations using computer-aided software.
• Provide technical assistance, field investigations, and coordination with team members and clients.
