CESO, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to join our team in DeWitt, MI. You will perform basic engineering design work on construction drawings and reports, research design criteria, and revise drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.

This role emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration with project teams. The position calls for a Civil Engineering degree, up to two years of experience, and FE exam/EIT licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 0-2 years of professional experience preferred.
• Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT preferred.
• Computer skills to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and other applicable design software.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of senior team members, perform basic engineering design work on construction drawings and reports using applicable design software.
• Research design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements and report findings to the team.
• Perform revisions to construction drawings marked up by senior team members.
• Active participation in internal team and project meetings; providing clear and concise verbal or written communication.
• Perform engineering design calculations and analysis based on researched codes and regulations.
