Job summary

WSP is seeking an Entry Career Civil Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Milwaukee, WI starting in June 2027. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

Qualifications

• BSCE or related degree from ABET-accredited university.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with technical writing, spreadsheets, and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic professional civil engineering work including site inspections and conformance checks.
• Perform routine engineering functions and provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements.
• Verify site characteristics and provide basic technical assistance on engineering issues.
• Generate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field/work site logs/notebook.
• Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources and adhere to WSP’s policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
