Job summary

WSP is seeking an Entry Career Civil Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in Saint Louis, MO starting in June 2027. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.

This role offers a hybrid work environment (remote, office-based, or a combination) and opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and hands-on project experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSCE or related degree.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Experience using Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to work in the US without work sponsorship.
• Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Uphold safety policies and company safety expectations.
• Schedules may extend beyond a typical workweek; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fundamental civil engineering tasks, research, and site condition inspections to ensure compliance with rules and permits.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and operating strategies for safety and functionality.
• Assist in verifying site characteristics and addressing engineering, design, and construction issues.
• Create complete, accurate documentation using electronic systems and field logs.
• Follow safety guidelines and site procedures including data collection, studies and surveys.
