Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in San Antonio, TX is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to contribute to design, analysis, and implementation of projects under a licensed P.E. engineer.

You will assist in technical design, project coordination, and ensure compliance with project requirements. The role includes preparing reports, guiding technicians, and collaborating with managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering program required or in progress.
• EIT certification eligible within 12 months from start date.
• Internship experience in civil design is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using MS Office Suite.
• Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
• Assist in traffic and transportation design tasks including intersection layouts, signing, and pavement markings; support traffic impact analyses and transportation planning.
• Develop roadway and highway design plans; prepare plans, specifications, and estimates.
