Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Longview, TX seeks an Engineer Intern to assist with design tasks on transportation, water resources, and land development projects under a licensed PE supervision. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with design tools, technical documentation, and project coordination in a collaborative team.

You will work closely with project managers and engineers, gaining exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, reports, site visits, and submittals while developing practical skills

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Agricultural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
Fundamentals of engineering principles, practices, and procedures.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word and Excel; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Assist project managers and engineers in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates under supervision.
Develop and evaluate design alternatives by analyzing basic engineering parameters and constraints.
Analyze design features to ensure alignment with project purpose and standards.
Produce drawings, exhibits, and supporting documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
