SJH Engineering, P.C. (SJH) is a full-service consulting engineering firm, with offices in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ, and Alpharetta, GA. We are seeking a full-time, permanent junior to mid-level Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, GA. The Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in assisting various projects from conception through completion, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Develop civil engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
2. Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
3. Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
4. Collaborate with other design disciplines, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with design specifications.
5. Perform site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of civil engineering experience.
3. Experience with Bentley Systems OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3D.
4. Proficient in CAD software and Bluebeam for drafting and design purposes.
5. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
