Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Civil & Earthworks Jr Designer for our Mine Waste Civil Design and Drafting Team in Reno, NV. This role involves providing technical design and CADD support for a variety of projects, including mining, transportation, and infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work on civil and geotechnical engineering projects, creating drawing packages and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Strong proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited technical school or college in CADD/Engineering technology, or equivalent, required.
Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD 2024 or newer; advanced tool usage, external references, annotative objects, and sheet sets.
Strong understanding of drafting and design support principles, practices, processes, methods, and techniques.

Responsibilities

Work within the US Mine Waste Team on civil and geotechnical engineering projects.
Create, modify, and develop drawing packages primarily in civil design.
Ensure quality assurance in drafting and design plans by adhering to company CADD standards.
