Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is hiring a Civil CAD Design Technician for the West Central Team, based in Austin, TX. You will generate precise drawings, edit using client and engineer markups, and produce base drawings for grading and drainage with adherence to standards.

You’ll collaborate across projects with PMs and engineers, manage multiple drawings, and apply Civil 3D/ProjectWise/Autodesk Forma tools to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of CAD experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D; Revit is a plus.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and client-focused service.
• Experience with MS Office 365 and PDF editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and Engineers to produce quality drawings.
• Edit drawings based on client/engineer markups.
• Create/modify base drawings including grading and drainage plans.
• Contribute to project documentation from start to finish with quality output.
• Handle multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Follow Jacobs and client CAD standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, ProjectWise, and Autodesk Forma.

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to produce quality drawings.
• Make drawing edits based on mark ups from client and/or Engineers.
• Create and/or modify base drawings, including grading and drainage files, with the ability to create and edit plans and profiles.
• Be relied on as productive team member and CAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company or client standards.
• Be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and communicate well with team members, including multidiscipline projects and teams within and outside of Jacobs.
• Follow Jacobs and client CAD standards.
• Have knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and use of ProjectWise and Autodesk Forma tools and functionality.

The base salary range for this position is $58,200.00 to $90,900.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
