Job summary

Jacobs in Austin, TX is seeking a Civil CAD Design Technician to support the West Central Team with producing and editing drawings, grading and drainage plans, and ensuring compliance with CAD standards.

Two+ years CAD experience preferred; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ProjectWise and Autodesk Forma is valued. This hybrid role offers collaboration with Project Managers and Engineers on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of CAD experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D; Revit experience a plus.
• Ability to work well both independently and as a team.
• Attention to detail, quality work products, and client service.
• Experience with MS Office 365 (Email, Excel, Word) and PDF editing (Acrobat and Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to produce quality drawings.
• Make drawing edits based on mark ups from client and/or Engineers.
• Create and/or modify base drawings, including grading and drainage files.
• Be relied on as productive team member and CAD user to work on typical project documents to completion.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Follow Jacobs and client CAD standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, ProjectWise and Autodesk Forma.

We'll expect you to

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to produce quality drawings.

• Be relied on as productive team member and CAD user to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company or client standards.
• Be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and communicate well with team members, including multidiscipline projects and teams within and outside of Jacobs.
• Follow Jacobs and client CAD standards.
• Have knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and use of ProjectWise and Autodesk Forma tools and functionality.

The base salary range for this position is $58,200.00 to $90,900.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
