Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an entry‑level engineer to assist in the design and project management of new and current projects, products and tooling under the guidance of senior technical experts. The role emphasizes evaluating test procedures, performance of routine engineering evaluation tests, and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and flowtime.

You must hold a BS in an ABET‑accredited engineering program or Physics, be willing to travel up to 20%, and be able to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from an accredited program.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
• United States Citizenship
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of higher- level technical experts.
• Assists in the development of test procedures and performance of routine engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work.
• Prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, and makes recommendations for product, test equipment, procedures and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flowtime.
• Defines and acquires tooling, gauging and other equipment necessary to manufacture/inspect parts to assure product quality.
• Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to assist in resolving routine design, development, production, and acceptance issues.
• Supports evaluation regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality, reduce flowtime, and enhance operational surety.
• Provides peer mentorship and support when applicable.
