Job summary

Redmax Events is seeking an assistant carpenter to support fast-paced builds for sports, trade shows, and brand experiences. You will handle sanding, painting, framing, prep, and assembly while learning to take on more complex tasks.

You’ll read shop drawings, follow production notes, and help keep materials organized and ready for installation. The role offers overtime and travel opportunities as events demand.

Qualifications

• Hands-on carpentry experience and ability to read basic shop drawings.
• Comfort with using common hand and power tools and working safely.
• Desire to learn and grow toward higher-skill carpentry roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sanding, painting, framing, prep, assembly and other basic carpentry tasks to move builds forward.
• Own small sub-components to keep carpenters focused on higher-skill work.
• Read shop drawings and production notes before starting work.
• Help keep materials and spaces organized for efficient builds.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and installs for events.
