Redmax Events in New York is seeking a motivated Assistant Carpenter to support our carpentry shop on brand experiences, trade shows, and events. You’ll help free up carpenters by handling sanding, painting, framing, prep, assembly, and other basic carpentry tasks, with growth toward more advanced pieces as you learn.

You’ll read shop drawings, operate common hand and power tools safely, and contribute to on-time builds.

Qualifications

• Hands-on carpentry experience or related build work.
• Ability to read shop drawings and production notes.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters by sanding, painting, framing, prep, and assembly.
• Own the slower, support pieces to keep builds moving.
• Read and interpret shop drawings before starting work.
• Maintain clean materials and work areas to prevent delays.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and installs for events.
• Progress toward higher-skill pieces as ready.
