Job summary

HCI Systems is seeking a Fire Alarm/Low-Voltage CAD Operator to design and generate fire alarm and low voltage shop drawings for multi-family, high-rise, and commercial projects in Irvine, CA. You will prepare technical submittals, RFIs, and closeout documents, and produce As-Built drawings based on field markups.

In this role you will use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office to manage libraries, take-offs, and document control, while applying National CAD Standards and coordinating with the

Qualifications

• No engineering experience required.
• Familiar with Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical drawings related to Fire Alarm and low voltage is a plus.
• Engineering or other technical degree and/or aptitude for engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft fire life safety and low voltage shop drawings in AutoCAD.
• Prepare submittals, RFIs and closeout documents with the team.
• Produce As-Built drawings based on field markups.
• Manage engineering libraries and document control tasks.
• Apply National CAD Standards to shop drawings.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.
• Identify design improvements and communicate project status to management.
• Perform take-offs and complete required paperwork.
