Job summary

Village Handcrafted Cabinetry in Towamencin Township, PA seeks a Jr. Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and costing for custom cabinetry and millwork.

You will work with the Estimator and internal teams to evaluate scope, materials, labor, and schedules for competitive bids. Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing takeoffs, tracking estimating data, and supporting change orders while maintaining great records and collaborating with Sales, Designers, Project Management,

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating and/or project management.
• Preferred experience in cabinetry, millwork, architectural woodwork, or interior construction.
• CRM experience such as HubSpot or Salesforce is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, comprehend, and interpret architectural and construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and addenda related to cabinetry and millwork.
• Review project documents to understand scope, bid requirements, and deadlines.
• Perform material and labor takeoffs for cabinetry, millwork, hardware, finishes, components, assemblies, and accessories.
• Support the development of labor cost estimates based on scope, fabrication requirements, and installation conditions.
• Track and maintain estimating data related to accuracy, margin, hit rate, and labor/material variance and support KPI reporting.
• Assist in identifying project risks related to scope, schedule, and production.
• Collaborate with Sales, Designers, Project Management, Production, Installation, and Engineering teams to clarify scope and pricing assumptions.
• Prepare estimates in accordance with established workflows, tools, and company standards.
• Review scope of work with customers as directed to confirm accuracy and expectations.
• Support preparation of estimates for change orders and scope revisions.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
• Work with Estimator to ceate costing reports in post-project estimate-to-actual reviews as assigned.
