Job summary

Morbark LLC, located in Winn, Michigan, seeks a Buyer - Purchasing to execute day-to-day purchasing activities to support production and material availability. You will manage routine POs, supplier communication, material follow-up, and ERP data accuracy, while contributing to continuous improvement within Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Entry to 2 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing setting is preferred, with ERP familiarity and strong communication skills essential for

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Ability to work effectively across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders in the ERP system with high accuracy.
• Review purchasing requirements and place orders per production and inventory needs.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order acknowledgments, pricing, and delivery dates.
• Expedite materials to support production schedules and minimize shortages.
• Maintain PO dates, quantities, pricing, and supplier information in ERP.
• Support engineering changes by communicating updated requirements to suppliers.
• Assist with inventory issues and material availability concerns.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Receiving and others to support operations.
• Identify purchasing or supplier issues and escalate appropriately.
• Support continuous improvement activities within Purchasing and Supply Chain.
• Develop knowledge of assigned suppliers, materials, and Morbark products.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance, teamwork, and Morbark Core Values.
