Job summary

Fleet Engineers in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Junior Buyer/Buyer to support purchasing and inventory management within a hands-on manufacturing environment. The role involves reviewing material requirements, creating POs, and coordinating with suppliers to meet delivery dates.

Experience with an MRP/ERP system and good Excel skills are preferred. We welcome both developing candidates and experienced buyers who can contribute to supplier performance and cost reductions through meticulous data

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems.
Experience with inventory control and supplier coordination.
Strong Excel and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

Review material requirements and create purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items.
Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and delivery dates.
Monitor open POs and resolve issues like shortages or late deliveries.
Maintain supplier, purchasing, pricing, and delivery data in ERP/MRP.
Support sourcing, quotes, and supplier performance improvements.
Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, and Accounting.
