Morbark LLC in Winn, Michigan is seeking a Buyer - Purchasing to execute day-to-day purchasing activities and support production and material availability. The role manages purchase orders, supplier communication, material follow-up, and inventory support within established processes.
Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or related experience, 1–2 years in purchasing or materials, and ERP familiarity. Strong attention to detail and cross-department collaboration are essential.
The Buyer I is responsible for the day-to-day execution of purchasing activities to support production and material availability. This position manages routine purchase orders, supplier communication, material follow-up, engineering changes, and inventory support. The Buyer I works within established purchasing processes and develops the knowledge and skills necessary to independently manage suppliers and purchasing responsibilities.

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment within a manufacturing facility. The position requires regular interaction with employees throughout the facility and may require occasional exposure to manufacturing areas, including noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Regular use of a computer and telephone is required. Occasional travel to supplier locations, company facilities, or business meetings may be required. The position may require extended hours or additional availability to address critical supplier, material, or production-related issues. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when entering designated manufacturing areas.
