Job summary

API Heat Transfer in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Jr. Buyer to support procurement and planning. You will source suppliers, place POs, negotiate pricing, and manage inventory to ensure on-time production.

The role reports to the Procurement and Planning Manager and requires 0-2 years in manufacturing, advanced Excel and ERP (PLEX) experience. Competitive benefits include health, 401(k), PTO and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing/operations preferred.
• Advanced MS Office skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Source suppliers and negotiate pricing for assigned products.
• Initiate purchase orders based on MRP to support production.
• Establish stocking levels and reorder points to ensure inventory is in stock.
