Manatee County Government is seeking an IT support professional to provide routine operational and technical support for department software applications and business systems. The role includes installing, updating, tuning, and diagnosing software, plus end-user training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, or related field.
1+ year of work experience in system administration and support preferred.
Valid driver license expected with Florida license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provides routine operational and technical support and maintenance for assigned department software applications.
Assists with installing, configuring, and testing system upgrades, vendor defect corrections and changes, new software, and new systems before installation to production environment.
Assists with testing and implementation of databases and tools. Cleans and standardizes data. Researches errors and applies corrections.
Provides routine application performance tuning, working with business systems support team and vendors.
Troubleshoots routine system issues and outages; refers escalated issues to more experienced staff.
