Job summary

Southwest Airlines seeks an Associate Business Solution Developer to join the Tech Ops Business Applications Solutions (TOBAS) team in Dallas. You will help configure, test, troubleshoot, deploy, and document enterprise applications across legacy and modern platforms.

You will gain experience across Quickbase, Power Platform, Alteryx, Tableau, and other enterprise tools while supporting modernization efforts and scalable solutions for Technical Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry level experience in application support, development, analytics, or information systems.
• SIDA badge eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and support of enterprise business applications under guidance of senior developers or solution leads.
• Support ongoing operations by resolving incidents, tracking defects, validating fixes, and monitoring application health and usability.
• Contribute to application enhancements and new implementations by gathering basic requirements, documenting business needs, and assisting with solution build and testing activities.
• Participate in the end-to-end application lifecycle, including intake support, development, testing, deployment preparation, sustainment, and retirement-related tasks.
• Support both legacy and modern platforms, including Quickbase, Power Platform, Alteryx, Tableau, and other approved business application technologies.
• Assist with data preparation, validation, reporting, and basic analysis to support business operations and decision-making.
• Maintain technical documentation, job aids, support materials, and process artifacts to improve operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in agile team routines such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with business users, Technology teams, data partners, and platform teams to support delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
