Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) seeks a motivated Associate Project Consultant for its Building Technology team in Chicago. You’ll assist with design, evaluation, and repairs for existing buildings under licensed engineers, with travel to sites and potential climbing involved.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree, 0–5 years of experience, and a passion for learning and problem solving. EIT is preferred and AutoCAD/Revit experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural, civil, or structural engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience; EIT preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in building construction and solving engineering problems.
• Willingness for lifelong learning and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigations, and repairs for existing buildings.
• Support under licensed engineer guidance on project tasks.
• Travel to multiple job sites and work at heights as needed.
