Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Fairfax, VA office. The candidate will design bridges and a variety of civil structures (primarily of steel and concrete construction) using applicable software.

The candidate will be responsible for designing steel and concrete bridge elements, performing bridge load ratings, developing reinforcing bar lists and quantities, reviewing shop drawings and assisting with bridge safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Microstation and a teamwork mindset.
• FE exam is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design bridges and civil structures using applicable software.
• Design steel and concrete bridge elements and perform bridge load ratings.
• Review shop drawings and assist with bridge safety inspections.
