Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our New York, NY office. The role involves assisting with bridge design (steel and concrete) and other civil structures, performing modeling and analysis, and supporting plan production.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, and are prepared to work in a team environment. EIT is preferred and driving is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural focus is required.
• 0-4 years of experience; internship experience preferred.
• EIT is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Desire to work in a team environment; driving is required with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bridge design (steel and concrete) and other civil structures.
• Perform structural modeling and analysis, load ratings, and plan production.
• Conduct code research and write specifications.
• Obtain permitting as needed.
