Job summary

Hoyle Tanner has an opening for an Entry Level Bridge Engineer in the Ground Transportation Division, based in Portsmouth, NH. You will join a team of structural design professionals delivering creative, cost-effective, and quality solutions while strengthening the communities we serve.

You will perform design calculations, work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, participate in inspections, and communicate findings clearly with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (ME preferred).
• EIT/EI preferred, or ability to obtain.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
• Salary is contingent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on bridge design projects within an assigned team.
• Complete assignments with direction from the Project Engineer.
• Perform design calculations and related tasks.
• Work as part of an integrated, multi-discipline team.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other tools to develop designs.
• Gather and maintain engineering records including tests and field data.
• Attend bridge inspections, site visits and meetings with clients.
• Read and understand technical drawings and specs.
• Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills.
