Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI Company, is seeking a Junior Engineer (0-2 years) to join our Structures Group and contribute to bridge and structural projects across NY. You will work under a licensed Professional Engineer, applying standard techniques and tasks under guidance on both large and small projects.

Responsibilities include design calculations, 2D/3D layouts, construction drawings, field observations, and report writing, with opportunities for growth into Senior Engineer or Project Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microstation, AASHTOWare, MathCAD and other structural engineering software a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team on bridge and structural design projects.
• Attend project meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Conduct assessments and inspections of bridges and culverts and other components.
• Perform structural computations for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other elements.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Field observation of construction to ensure conformance with plans.
