Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI Consultants Company, seeks an experienced Structural Project Engineer for bridge and transportation projects in Albany, Poughkeepsie, or Syracuse, NY. You will act as a fully competent engineer, developing plans, evaluating criteria, and guiding junior staff on complex design tasks.

Ideal candidates have NY transportation project experience, strong communication and client-relations skills, and PE licensure in NY or ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program.
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in NY or reciprocal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or check calculations and design procedures per AASHTO and NYSDOT standards.
• Prepare design reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for bridge projects.
• Develop plan details for bridge replacement/rehabilitation per NYSDOT standards.
• Coordinate with client and team to develop effective solutions.
• Perform structural analysis and stability reviews for bridges/structures.
