Job summary

Seneca Holdings, part of the Seneca Nation Group, is seeking a BI/report developer for our Buffalo, NY team. You will review existing BI reports, build dashboards in QlikView and Qlik Sense, and ensure migrated outputs match source data with strong validation.

The role requires SQL skills, data modeling basics, and meticulous attention to detail. You will document work, support testing, and learn legacy and modern BI platforms in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing BI reports and dashboards.
• Ability to translate business rules into data visuals.
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and validation.
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL concepts.
• Strong attention to detail when validating report outputs.
• Ability to follow technical specifications and document work clearly.
• Willingness to learn legacy and modern BI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review existing BusinessObjects reports and document data sources, calculations, and rules.
• Build/update reports, dashboards, and visualizations in QlikView/Qlik Sense per specifications.
• Validate migrated reports against source outputs and log discrepancies.
• Write and modify SQL queries to extract and validate data.
• Troubleshoot report errors and escalate complex problems.
• Update Qlik load scripts and expressions under senior guidance.
• Maintain migration trackers and mapping documents.
• Migrate scheduled jobs and report connections as assigned.
• Support user acceptance testing and training materials.
