Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a junior scientist to assist ingredient science research across the beverage portfolio, focusing on fiber, protein, advantaged ingredients, natural colors, and natural preservatives.

You will perform bench work, handle samples, and support production runs while collaborating with fellow scientists to ensure quality and timely results. A BS/AS in a scientific field is required, with strong organizational and communication skills.

• Proven ability to execute bench work with precision.
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with scientists for timely experiments.
• Excellent organizational skills to document work and learnings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory benchwork and projects by following experimental designs and preparing samples.
• Maintain laboratory and sample inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment for optimal performance.
• Implement and monitor storage studies for beverages and concentrates.
• Prepare samples for analytical and sensory evaluation to support data-driven decisions.
• Support scientists during production runs, including ingredient handling and order management.
• Ensure products and samples meet defined specifications and quality requirements.
