Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an entry-level IT consultant for the Project Patriot program in Dimondale, MI. The role focuses on implementing backup and recovery infrastructure within a hybrid work model (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).

This 1-year W2 contract offers training, mentorship, and pathways to permanent hire. The position requires a Bachelor’s or equivalent IT experience, with emphasis on data protection networking, security compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience required.
• Foundational knowledge of data protection networking and security standards.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, NIST, PCI guidelines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement backup and recovery hardware/software configurations per design.
• Coordinate with server/storage/security teams to ensure standards alignment.
• Assist in database backup/recovery configuration and access controls.
• Install and maintain backup hardware/software in production and development environments.
• Support regulatory audits and ensure compliance within backup infrastructure.
