Job summary

Assured Data Protection Inc. in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Service Delivery & Support Engineer to own customer implementation, backup and recovery operations, and escalated support. The role covers Rubrik administration, security, and cross-functional collaboration with networking and virtualization teams.

You will design and execute backup strategies, lead cyber-recovery activities, and mentor junior staff while helping scale a managed-services operation for the public sector.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience administering enterprise backup and recovery platforms in production.
• Senior-level troubleshooting across backup software, virtualization, storage, networking, OS, and infrastructure services.
• Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter or similar virtualization platforms.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPN/IPsec, DNS, certificates, authentication, and secure remote administration.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, engineers, vendors, security personnel, and management during routine and high-pressure events.
• U.S. person status and ability to satisfy APS personnel-screening and access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Rubrik infrastructure and related backup environments.
• Design, configure, review, and troubleshoot SLA domains, protection policies, backup jobs, replication, and recovery workflows.
• Lead restore, disaster-recovery tests, and cyber-recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, performance, capacity, and connectivity issues; document resolutions.
• Maintain secure, auditable configurations and work with vendors on escalations.
• Provide senior escalation support for complex customer and internal issues; guide less-experienced colleagues.
