Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Aviation group in Lansing, MI. The role offers hands-on learning, design work in an office setting, and time on construction sites to see projects come to life.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, may have internship experience in civil/transportation engineering, and should be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering completed by date of hire.
• Experience or internship in civil/transportation engineering is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and client interaction ability.

Responsibilities

• Design aviation civil engineering projects including taxiways, aprons, runways.
• Assist with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits and designs.
• Perform QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews.
• Assist with development of construction cost estimates for various projects.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and support project teams.
