Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic diagnostics and repairs, including oil changes and tire work. You will document vehicle condition using multi-point inspections and assist with safety and emission inspections where allowed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends. The role offers room for advancement and a supportive shop team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a State Inspector License preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations).
• Follows safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
