Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer to support factory automation, focusing on hardware and management of AMHS projects, upgrades, and retrofits. The role includes equipment installation through qualification, with opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and cost.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) required for the role.
- Experience in Automation Engineering a plus; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal customers, vendors and contractors to complete assigned projects.
- Perform QA/QC of incoming equipment prior to acceptance.
- Coordinate parts shipping, receiving, storage, and staging.
- Oversee installation and validation of hardware and software upgrades.
- Communicate technical information to leadership through presentations.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and reliability improvements.
- Create standard recovery procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for installation projects.
