Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a high performing automation digital transformation engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team onsite in Austin, TX. The role focuses on developing innovative automation solutions, system maintenance, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams.

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, Python experience with numpy/scipy, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, SQL databases, and Linux.

Qualifications

• Strong experience understanding complex system interactions.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate experience with Python and familiarity with popular packages (numpy, scipy, polars).
• Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux and basic operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovation automation solutions for customer automation needs.
• Maintain complex systems with continual functional and documentation improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors for troubleshooting and system setup.
• Close collaboration with DSK setup teams for new fab system startup.
• System sustaining, improvement, and optimization.
