Job summary

Plaza Tire Service in the Midwest seeks a Junior Automotive Technician to perform basic maintenance, tire mounting and oil changes, and other light repairs. You will document vehicle conditions using established inspection orders and assist with safety inspections where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License (preferred) where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (where allowed) following guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Adheres to company policies and can work flexible schedules including weekends.
