Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an entry-level Automotive Mechanic Technician I to perform preventive maintenance, basic repairs and diagnostics. The role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to work independently within a team, while delivering high-quality service.

Applicants should have 1+ years of vehicle service experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of vehicle service and repair experience preferable.
• Must be able to work days, afternoons, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must continue training to keep up with technology and fleet changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, fuel filter, battery replacement and vehicle inspections.
• Perform repairs and diagnostics as appropriate for certification level.
• Address various systems including brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, engine and drive-line components.
• Maintain a clean shop area and adhere to safety standards.
