Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an entry-level Automotive Mechanic Technician I for a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule in the United States. The role focuses on maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, basic diagnostics, and repairs while adhering to safety standards and efficient time management. Strong communication and a willingness to learn are important for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• 1+ years of vehicle service and repair experience; customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, filters, inspections.
• Carry out repairs and diagnostics as needed.
• Work on OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension, electrical, engine and drive-line components.
• Maintain clean and safe shop area; dispose of fluids per regulations.
• Work independently or in a team; adapt to schedule variations as needed.
