Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Technician I to perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on vehicles. You will work in a shop setting, handling tasks from oil changes to diagnostic procedures, while following safety standards and company policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ year of vehicle service experience. Flexible hours including weekends may be required; ongoing training is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• 1+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Available to work days, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
• Must continue training to meet technology and fleet changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, inspections.
• Perform some repairs and diagnostics as needed.
• Based on certification, perform repairs including OBD II, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical and engine components.
• Keep the shop area clean and safe; dispose of fluids properly.
• Complete inspections to high standards.
• Work independently or in a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
