Job summary

BARNES DISABILITY ADVOCATES seeks a Junior Associate to support its Social Security Disability Benefits practice in Utah. This full-time role focuses on helping clients navigate the disability process with proactive, team-based representation.

The attorney will meet with clients, draft briefs, conduct legal research, and represent clients at hearings, primarily in Lehi, UT, with some travel. A strong dedication to client service and collaboration is required.

Responsibilities

• Frequently meet with clients at initial appointments to determine how we can best help them with their claim and to help them understand the disability process.
• Prepare and draft appeal briefs to the Social Security Administration
• Develop legal strategy and provide practical, client-focused legal advice.
• Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in Social Security rules, regulations, and case law.
• Prepare for and represent clients during disability hearings.
• Work as a team with staff and other attorneys to help keep our cases moving forward and provide our clients with high quality representation.
