Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC is seeking a junior Commercial Litigation Associate for a nationally recognized Am Law firm in Los Angeles.

The role offers exposure to sophisticated matters including complex commercial disputes, class actions, and public entity litigation, with significant responsibility early in the career.

Requirements include a J.D. from an accredited law school, California Bar admission, and 2–4 years of litigation experience; prior law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all stages of complex litigation from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.
• Assist with litigation strategy, case development, and trial prep.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlements.
• Handle discovery and document management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, experts, and co-counsel on litigation matters.
• Support matters involving complex commercial disputes, class actions, and public entity litigation.
• Engage in business development: client pitches, presentations, and marketing initiatives.
