Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineer to support aviation projects across general and commercial airfields in New England, with opportunities to contribute to nationwide efforts.

The role involves quantity takeoffs, design calculations, pavement and drainage design, field observations, and construction administration under senior supervision. A Bachelors in Civil Engineering and EIT eligibility are required, with AutoCAD Civil3D and FAA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registered EIT or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations, and plan set production for commercial and general aviation airports.
• Design horizontal and vertical geometry, drainage calculations and sizing of systems, pavement markings, fence line layouts, project phasing and pavement design for aircraft.
• Work closely with engineers and technicians across disciplines to produce quality designs and plans.
• Observe project actions on site, representing the engineering team in the field and performing construction administration and management.
• Be a self-starter and responsible for quality work products, contributing ideas to project teams and pursuing growth.
