Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Airports/Aviation Facilities to support aviation projects in Bedford, NH. You will perform takeoffs, modeling, and design work for commercial and general aviation airports, collaborating with engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities include designing geometry, drainage, markings, and phasing; observing site work and assisting with construction administration. We value initiative, quality work, and a drive for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Experience with FAA Advisory Circulars related to civil engineering is a plus.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• AutoCAD Civil3D skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations, and plan set production for airports.
• Design horizontal/vertical geometry, drainage, pavement markings, fence lines, and project phasing; assist with pavement design for aircraft.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians within the discipline group on projects.
• Under supervision, produce quality designs and interpret plans from survey, drainage, and structural disciplines.
• Observe site actions, represent the team in the field, and assist with construction administration and management.
• Be a self-starter, contribute ideas, and seek professional growth.
