Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and operation of secure and scalable Generative AI products and platforms.

In this role, the engineer will work with experienced team members to build foundational skills in large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, cloud technologies, networking, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Foundational software development knowledge from coursework or hands-on projects.
• Proficient in Python or Golang with understanding of APIs, testing, and version control.
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and LLM basics.
• Awareness of cloud concepts, preferably AWS, and basic networking.
• Ability to work in an agile team and take feedback.

Responsibilities

• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, testing, and integration activities.
• Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation.
• Participates as a team member with internal and outsourced partners to develop solutions.
• Collaborates with partners regarding design status, progress, and issue resolution.
