Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Software Engineer II to help design, develop, and test secure Generative AI products and platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced engineers to build foundational skills in LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and cloud technologies while contributing to prototypes and production support.

You will work in a hybrid model, averaging two days per week in an HPE office, with opportunities to expand your skills through structured development

Qualifications

• Foundational software development knowledge from academics or internships.
• Basic proficiency in Python, Golang, APIs, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Awareness of Generative AI concepts and interest to deepen expertise.
• Basic cloud concepts and services, preferably AWS, including compute and storage.
• Foundational networking and system concepts, plus collaboration in team reviews.

Responsibilities

• Designs limited enhancements and changes for subsystems of software applications.
• Analyzes design to determine coding and integration activities.
• Executes testing plans and debugs issues in code with suggested improvements.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Communicates status and resolves issues with project teams.
