Job summary

Barchart, a leading market data and technology provider, seeks a Junior Account Manager to nurture existing agribusiness client relationships, build product knowledge, and support account management, sales, and marketing teams.

Based in the Chicago area with a hybrid schedule, you will manage CRM records, assist with renewals and product reviews, create client-ready presentations, and help produce customer-focused content while learning the commodities markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin/Marketing/Sales or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in account management, customer service, or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Hybrid work schedule; located near Chicago, IL or Des Moines, IA preferred.
• Excellent English writing, public speaking, and client-facing skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, especially Hubspot, preferred.
• Knowledge of production agriculture or commodities markets beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency with Adobe and MS Office applications.
• Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; eager to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential needs within existing clients in the agribusiness, food and beverage, ag media, and ag technology markets.
• Manage and maintain up-to-date client information in Barchart's CRM system.
• Assist with and grow into leading client renewals and product reviews on a routine basis.
• Assist the sales and account management teams in building presentations for upcoming meetings.
• Record meeting notes, identify follow up tasks, and handle client questions with product and compliance support.
• Advocate for clients in future product enhancements and understand client needs.
• Assist in creating customer-centric marketing content such as thought leadership, customer stories, webinars, and collateral.
• Perform various internal tasks (data management projects, internal systems updates, event planning).
