Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Junior Agile Project Manager in Kansas City, MO to support agile delivery for environmental technology initiatives. On-site role offering $30-$35 per hour and a 12-month contract-to-hire path.

You will facilitate ceremonies, maintain boards, and work with technical leads and SMEs to translate goals into actionable tasks. You will leverage AI-assisted tools to draft user stories, summarize notes, and streamline reporting, while growing in a national engineering

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience coordinating agile project or product delivery.
Scrum certification (CSM or PSM I) preferred.
Familiar with Scrum and Kanban frameworks and ceremonies.
Comfort using AI tools to support day-to-day agile work.
Strong organizational and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with Monday.com; Jira knowledge is a plus.
Exposure to environmental/engineering projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate day-to-day agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
Maintain and organize project boards, sprints, and backlogs in Monday.com or Jira.
Translate project goals into actionable user stories and tasks.
Track sprint progress and flag risks early; adjust priorities as needed.
Support reporting and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Apply AI-assisted tools to draft stories, summarize notes, and streamline backlog management.
Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and tooling.
