Job summary

Charm Sciences, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Accounting Clerk in Andover, MA. The role reports to the Assistant Controller and CFO and handles AR and AP duties, including invoicing, collections, and payments.

The incumbent will document transactions, prepare AR aging reports, reconcile accounts, and work with the ERP system. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, with standard business hours and room for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and general ledger processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and document recordkeeping and accounting systems for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle pre- and post-authorized customer credit card transactions.
• Create and maintain weekly AR aging and reports.
• Contact customers to follow up on past-due invoices; escalate when needed.
• Gather and enter data for account and inventory reconciliations and sales tax reporting.
• Process and record customer payments related to accounts receivable.
• Upload daily invoices and liaise with customers/service teams on billing issues.
• Review supplier invoices for documentation and approval before payment.
• Perform accounts payable voucher functions and process statements.
• Record expenses to correct accounts and support other related projects.
• Note: management may reassign duties as needed.
